"someone posted recently something to the effect that there are no great heroes in the world today, no gandhi, no martin luther king, etc. i sat with that a bit and then decided that my world is packed full of heroes…. the guy in the wheelchair at the gym every day, the young woman with cancer sweating it out in yoga class, the single mother who works full time yet still finds time to volunteer at wild animal rescue, the older gentleman patiently walking by the side of his even older mom in the grocery store, etc. etc. my life is packed full of great and quiet heroes."
